Common Questions About Camping
Do you have a map of The Caverns property? +
Yes, to view a map of The Caverns grounds, visit this page.
HOW DO I GET TO THE CAVERNS MUSIC VENUES AND CAVE TOURS FROM THE CAMPGROUND? +
All foot traffic to The Caverns music venues must travel the footpath which begins in the northernmost corner of our campground. Due to safety concerns, we will not allow entry to the venues by foot from Charlie Roberts Road. During the day when the footpath is closed, you may drive your vehicle down Charlie Roberts Road to The Caverns gift shop, where you can also book and take a cave tour. View map of The Caverns grounds.
How large is each camping space? +
A car camping pass is for 20’x20’. An RV camping pass is for 20'x40'. Campsites are assigned, and spacing is enforced for festivals and amphitheater shows. For cave shows, we have a spacious campground with plenty of room for people to spread out. Campsites are first come, first serve and are not assigned for cave shows.
How many cars and how many people are allowed with a car camping pass? +
A car camping pass allows for one vehicle and up to 4 people at one 20'x20' campsite. If your vehicle is longer than 20', or you are towing anything, you must purchase an RV camping pass.
What time does the campground open and when is checkout? +
The Caverns is located in the Central Time zone
Doors at 6p or later - Campground opens at 3p
Doors at 5p or earlier - Campground opens at 1p
Checkout is 10a
Please do not arrive early. Out of consideration for our neighbors, lining up outside the gate along the road is not permitted and you will be asked to leave and return when the gates open. Times are subject to change. Campground check-in times do not apply to the Yurt Village. Check pre-show emails for actual times.
Can I come and camp out anytime I’d like? +
At this time, camping is only available on nights when we have concerts. A concert ticket is also required to enter or spend the night in the campground.
I have an RV or camper over 20 feet long. Can I still camp at The Caverns? +
Yes. You will need to purchase an RV camping pass. This allows for up to 6 people and includes a 20'x40' campsite. This applies to motorhomes, passenger vehicles towing campers or box trailers, or any vehicle longer than a 20' long campsite. There are no water or sewer hookups at this time. Four (4) 30-amp RV hookups are available for most cave shows.
Are there electric or water hook-ups? +
We have four (4) 30-amp RV hookup sites located next to the Yurt Village Spring, available for most cave shows. No water or sewer hook-ups.
Are generators allowed? +
Yes, but we encourage quiet generators. If you have a loud one you may be asked to turn it off during quiet hours.
I'm traveling from far away. What if I arrive early? +
Please feel free to visit our gift shop and take a cave tour. Or you can check out one of the many fun things to see or do in the area. Out of consideration for our neighbors, lining up outside the gate along the road is not permitted and you will be asked to leave and return when the gates open.
For festivals, we cannot accommodate arrivals outside of our set hours. And again, queuing on the road is not permitted.
My friends and I are arriving in separate cars. What do we need to do? +
Each car will need a separate camping pass. The only way to enter the campgrounds and park overnight is with a camping pass. If you’d like to have campsites side-by-side for festivals or amphitheater shows, plan to arrive at the same time. If that’s not possible, you’re welcome to unload one vehicle and carry your gear and supplies to another campsite to camp as a group if there’s space. For cave shows, there is plenty of room to save a spot for your pals!
Can I have a campfire or grill? +
Yes, but you may not have a fire on the ground. You can bring your own above ground fire ring or grill, or you can rent a fire pit while supplies last. Firewood is for sale in the campground. Please do not start a fire before your show begins. If you do start a fire before your event, it must be completely out when leaving the campground for the show. Please dump your ashes in the red metal ash barrels found in the campground.
Can I bring beverages in glass bottles? +
No, glass is not permitted in the campground. On that note, please keep your shoes on in the campground and venue!
Can I bring my dog/goat/parrot? +
Pets are not allowed. If you arrive at the venue with your dog, you will not be permitted entrance. All tickets are non-refundable. We have compiled a list of pet boarding kennels in the vicinity of The Caverns below. We are not affiliated with any of these establishments.
Service Animals: The Caverns welcomes trained service animals in accordance with state and federal guidelines. A trained service animal is individually trained to perform a task(s) or work for a person with a physical or mental disability. Only dogs are accepted as trained service animals. “Service Animal” has a specific meaning under the American with Disabilities Act, an emotional support animal generally will not satisfy this requirement.
The ADA requires that trained service animals be under the control of their handler at all times. Tennessee law requires that dogs over 6 months of age be currently vaccinated against rabies. A service dog that is disruptive or presents a threat to the health or safety of others may be asked to leave the property. The Caverns is in a rural location, if you’d like to submit your information to our service animal portal prior to arrival, it will help us prepare for your arrival and connect you with your service animal should you become separated at any time.
Support Animals and Pets: We love support animals and pets, but we are unable to welcome your support animals and pets to The Caverns. Please leave them at home because they cannot be in the venue and we don’t want any furry friends left in the car. “Service Animal” has a specific meaning under the American with Disabilities Act, an emotional support animal generally will not satisfy this requirement.

No, only those with a car or RV camping pass are permitted to enter the campground.

What is your cancellation/refund policy? +
All sales are final. For Cave Shows, we have a spacious campground with plenty of room. If you are unsure, we recommend you either purchase Order Protection, which is offered for every sale upon checkout, or wait to purchase your camping/RV/pre-pitched passes until closer to the show when you are certain you can attend.
Is there someone onsite in the campground if I need help? +
For most events, you can find a staff member either at the campground check-in bus or overnight at the Yurt Village office.
